Does Your 2nd Nexus 6 Get as Warm as your First ?

I returned to Amazon a Nexus 6 that was getting very warm in basic usage so much so that it was very uncomfortable using the phone without the speaker as it was too warm on my ear.. I now have new Nexus 6 and it is not anywhere as warm as the previous one (29 days older) is. Is there that much of a difference between Nexus 6 Models ? Immediately I noticed on charging the new one did not get near as warm as the old one and even running the Antutu benchmark it only got to 32C ??? I cannot think of any configuration difference as both were bootloader unlocked and had the identical apps installed?

I guess my question would be.. Is the QA of these phones that different such that my experience would occur or is it strictly a unique experience on my part?
