Note 5 Fast Charging

Has anyone else noticed the NOTE 5 not always fast charging? I usually have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to fast charge... It's not a notification problem, when it doesn't say "fast charging connected" it ISN'T fast charging (I checked) my wife and I both have Note 5 and they both do it and YES we're using the stock charger
